So because a Republican cabinet member, has a different OPINION than the Democrat POTUS, this is some kind of game changer??  lol.....


The facts are: the US offered a SOFA. Iraq's leadership declined.

 

I think youre forgetting one thing.  Whether he wanted a SOFA or not really isnt the question.  The question, IMO, should be did he in good faith attempt to negotiate a SOFA.  IMO, the answer is definitly YES.  He offered the same SOFA with the same troop protections contained in the 2008 SOFA. Iraq declined. When Iraq declined they then took responsibility for what happend in their country.  Since when is a POTUS responsible for decisions made by other governments?  When did this start?

But hey, if you feel that somehow Obama is responsible for decisions made by other leaders.  More power to you.
