Start over:
If you are an employee you hit the time clock and go to work. Employers pay for:
Vechicles
Fuel
Tools
Insurance (General Liability & Worker's Compensation & Vehicle & Unemployment Benefits & Social Security)
Uniforms
Food and lodging when traveling for them.
Overtime
Regular wages...salary / annual or hourly rate........piecework or other get compared to the minimum wage with the above...........paid on a regular schedule
They pay for attendance at meetings and drive time. They pay for employee education & certifications that benfit them. They can deduct nothing from your wages without your consent.
They don't pay for or provide lunch. You can agree to pay them to drive their vehicle home or just park their truck and drive yourself to and from home in your vehicle.
THEY CAN fire you or discontinue your services if their insurance company will not cover you to drive their truck. Same thing if they find unreported background informantion, poor work or job conduct. In some states they can just fire you without saying why.
What you describe is illegal...you can get all your money back. See a lawyer. Ask your state wage and hour people about this. The IRS can and will roll them up over those deductions. They are possibly listing you as an employee for some purposes but treating you as a 1099 contractor for others.
Save all your paycheck stubs that list deductions.
