A guy I know is on his third Dodge pickup to my 07 duramax.  Not that they were wore out or no good, but he did have transmission issues on them all I think, The 14 he has ,has been in the shop twice already for a module or something and they can't get them fast enough from what I heard as so many people are having the same problem. I went by ford friday to get the pickup piece in the fuel tank for my 2000 f550 4wd. Service man said "we don't sell parts for those too much, never really did" .  And there was one with the cab in the air 6.4 and three engines in a bay I could see.  He also said the turbos are coming apart as early as 60,000 miles.  Also that that regen they do cause them get warm sometimes causing the valves to stick in valve guides. I heard from another mechanic some of the 6.7 s have dropped valves and ruined the engine. All of mechanics I have talked too" told me dont' get rid of the 7.3."
