New Ford Power Stroke diesels are eating turbo chargers. I work with a major player and we have had three trucks with less than 20k miles eat the turbo in the last few weeks.
Dodge chassis are sturdy and stable and the Cummings is awesome but the transmissions are garbage and the rear-ends need constant attention.
Never liked the larger Chevrolet trucks as they seem to rag out alot quicker than any other and the cost is ALWAYS higher.
Bottom line? Go with the Ford as the newer diesels are better overall than the previous 6.0L disasters and the turbo problem (if it comes up) is fully covered at no cost to the consumer. The trucks are durable and cost less over the long run to operate and maintain.
Altec vs. ETI???? No brainer. Altec all day everyday!!!
Good Luck my friend.
