I cannot and will not speak of Obama's morals specifically because I do not know him personally. But, I do suspect we have differing opinions on some social issues that should not carry the weight they do in Washington.
As for core beliefs, I do not and did not see a need to fundamentally transform America, any part of America. Yes, like any nation today, yesterday or tomorrow, she is not perfect. There are many small things that need tweaked. But, a fundamental transformation is not a way to tweak something.
Bipartisanship, term limits and common sense would go a long way in repairing the damage done to the strength of our country over the last 15 years. Unfortunately, these are 3 things in short supply in DC.
My biggest fear is that there is no trend showing a change of direction. No leader stepping forward showing the ability to unify our government or citizens. Look at history and you will see that we are possibly nearing the end of our democracy. Look at todays trends and you will see we are leaning towards socialism. Could we survive as the United States of America in socialism? I think we could, but keeping capitalism in place is key and I do not see enough people defending this.
Do not punish someone for being successful. Do not label someone as evil for working hard. Instead, take notes. Strive to better yourself. Do not expect others to support you.
