truck shuts off when pump is engaged

2001 F550 superduty,altec AT35G. Truck was originally ordered by Duquisne light & power,very many options & features, including an emerg. DC pump which is only activated by pressing and holding the switch. In the field the truck shut off while boomed up. Remote start worked the first time then it too quit working. The next couple times the truck shut off immediatly after hitting pump switch. Tried backup pump, it too was not working?
