Apples and Oranges.  ASI is a serial interface it is not Ethernet.  There are converters to change asi to ethernet and back.  I don't remember if the 4400MD has a gige port or you could take it right from there.  Distance won't be a problem if you are using high capacity wireless Ethernet radios, you should be able to transport 50+mb.  
Not sure what a cp7600 is, but on the other end you will need some type of processor to receive the GigEthernet data and make it qam.
