ASI / gigethernet

I have a question take any reciever with asi out for example we have motorola 4400md take the AsI output on the reciever which is transmitted as gigethernet would there be a limitation on distance for the signal example : Headend Reciever asi/gigethernet output to radio link then to another radio link cp7600 with gigethernet port approximate distance about 4 miles as the crow flies. I would appreciate any input on this and if anyone has done it. Thanks
