You got that right haha looks like shit. After a few tries it does eventually splice right, and it will give you that faint line where the two fibers meet but thats normal. Unfortunately i havent been able to otdr the fibers since these were all live cutovers. No noticeable changes in light levels at the nodes from what we could verify. I am curious as to what the traces look like when shot... You would think fuji or sumitomo would have splice settings on their units for this type of fiber but some have told me that splicing in MM would correct the problem. I know on MM it does arc a lot less than SM and the burn time is slightly longer... I have tried that a few times but dont like what i see on the screen. Im gonna call Corning tomorrow and see if they know anything. This has been racking my brain forever...
