Comcast forcing people to take their video service

If a customer isn't home and they are scheduled for a single play video install we HAVE to get service from the tap to the house. Leave a DTA with a self install kit on their doorstep. Call on process with the customers address and DTA serial number. On process will place the DTA on the customers account. The customer is supposed to call in and get it activated.

They tried this a couple of months back. I can only imagine the money they'll make with  failed self install charges and missing equipment. I can't believe they think this is a good idea, especially in Detroit where I work. Maybe the customer isn't home because they don't want the service and didn't call to cancel. Or maybe they called to cancel and the order was never cancelled.
