So how is it that within hours of the "Government Shutdown" the US Government was able to have Barrycaids and road blocks up and in place at every monument(First time ever for the open air monuments to be blocked during a "shutdown") and park in America? Not only that, how could they have thousands of laminated signs ready so quickly?
If you ever have done any work for the government you would know that it does nothing that quickly.
Hell to get a fiber cut sheet approved I had to submit a templet, go to 4 different meetings, get the wording, layout, font, size, color, all preapproved. Then get bids from 4 government approved printers, select the cheapest one, have 2 meetings with them, have them run a test batch, take the samples back to the government so they could give the final yes or no, and then after all that I could get them printed. It took 10 months.
They just didn't have thes closed because of the government shutdown signs whipped up or leftover, I got a good look at them yesterday when we tore down the Barrycaids. These signs had Obama's signature on them. So just how in the hell did they get them so quickly? Last government shutdown under Clinton they posted Hand Written signs on the doors, and did not Barrycaid any of the monuments.
