Another thing to think about. Depending on the bonding strength of the dielectric to the center conductor, sometimes a short jumper allows the center conductor to slide inside the dielectric, or, sometimes the dielectric can slide inside the braid and jacket. I have seen this while manufacturing jumpers. A 6" jumper displays this charactaristic fairly often. If the center conductor slides, this would result in a suckout on one side and a long CC on the other. Longer lengths of cable tends to hold the components in place because of more friction.
