Every Prime from the MSO is required to have in place workcomp coverage for its so called Subcontractors.
Since pitbull says he has a laywer, he wont have a job for long. Also most States have the NCI Codes in place which place cable workers in a Non-construction code which does not require Work Comp coverage.
Take a look at what you do in your State and see if it required? I bet if your truley an independant contractor, not paid by your SSN but to a corporation or LLC then you can be exempt and demand them not take out the 10%
Or if the prime has you on the WC policey as an employee then they are breaking the law. Cant have it both ways...
