I am also in NC and was having the same issue. I did get GL insurance through Liberty Mutual for 195 a year. That covers up to a million per occurence. I also found out that in the state of NC if you do not have 3 employees you do not need to carry WC insurance. I am now dealing with a lawyer to get my company to stop taking the 10 % out they are penalizing me on my check for not having WC. It is also illegal for them to penalize you for not having the insurance.
