Your list is a good one. A legitimate business person would have no problem with any of that. The crooks will object & bring out the grease.

The only thing I would add would be to be slow with filling out an application...especially where SS#s or certification #s are concerned. Then the question I would ask is "This information is confidential. How do you keep it from your employees?

I suspect some of these startup groups advertise for nonexistant jobs just to get some identification numbers to ghost friends, relatives and whoever they can find.
