Have you ever lived in California? The reason I'm asking is: What your pay is...isn't the only important aspect. Rent is extremely high...insurance is outrageous and the amount you work...driving distances (fuel) and California income tax will take even more money out of your pocket. We still haven't even taken into consideration theft and gangs.
Make no mistake, California---primarily Southern California--is one of the most difficult places to live in the US.
