the argument was about how income taxes are slavery and you rationalize that by extolling all the benefits derived from such slavery. now you are off on a tangent about taxes in general. I never said all taxes are slavery, only income taxes. I showed examples of them being unnecessary. as far as sales taxes go, they are advoidable so they are not a form of slavery and not compulsory.
bottom line is if the federal government was only 43% of it's current size, and focused only on those powers expressly given to it by the Constitution, it could be run off excise and import taxes, both of which are avoidable.
