Re: The best saying to sum up Ex Pres Bush and Fri

"health insurance should not be based on your job, just like car insurance is not based on your job, yet it is mandated by the Government that you have it."

WTF? First Your auto insurance is based on your job. If you use you car or truck for doing your job you are going to pay more for insurance on that vehicle than if you don't, unless you lie to the insurance company. Simpley because it's on the road more often and there for runs a higher risk of being in an accident.

If your working in a higher risk job where you run a higher risk of being hurt or getting sick then your health insurance should cost more. You're going to sit there and say a coal miner should pay the same rate as a McDonald's employee, or that a smoker shouldn't pay more than a non smoker?

If you remember the health care act is not a mandate, it's a TAX. The Supreme Court said so.

"This plan is the same, it takes the health insurance away from employment based, and moves it to the free market, and mandates that each person have it."

If it's mandated it is not a free market. If it's not employment based than it is going to cost everyone more.

By the way the taxes on medical equipment and the extra $63.00 fee that everyone that has health insurance now have to pay are GOVERNMENT TAXES AND FEES NOT THE INSURANCE COMPANIES.

Why are you blaming the CEO's for doing their jobs? Their job is to make decisions that allow the company to make a profit so that it can pay it's operating costs, investors, employees, and stay in business? Are you sure your a contractor? How the hell do you stay in business if you don't make a profit? When the cost of doing business goes up don't you try to get paid more for your work to offset the increase? Do you even sit down and see what your exspenditures verses your receivables are? Do you ever adjust your rates, cut costs, cut services, to stay profitable? Then your doing the exact same thing CEO's of any company does. Oh by the way the insurance companies  wouldn't have to raise their rates if it were not for the new TAXES/mandate.
If everyone is thinking alike, someone isn't thinking.
