Change is often difficult and painful, but in the end, it is more than often worth the pain. The Healthcare Reform Act is such change, it will be difficult for insurance companies to change, to 'have' to insure people that are high risk, and they will use any excuse to raise rates, that helps them make profit, and pay their shareholders and CEO's millions of dollars. The current health insurance program does not work, health insurance should not be based on your job, just like car insurance is not based on your job, yet it is mandated by the Government that you have it. This plan is the same, it takes the health insurance away from employment based, and moves it to the free market, and mandates that each person have it.
Sure at first the change will scare the right wing fanatics, but just like all change, once you get over the fear of being afraid, you will see it will be better than it was.
