We are running into a carrier at 158.75MHz that when we modulate it to AM/FM, it has strange tones and squelches. It was tracked to a car dealership and measured at +38dBmv. It also drops to -38db at times and them comes back. CLI has been done in the area with gear set at 121.2625/ch14 75' with no leaks. Amps and node internals have been changed and respliced, some with new housings. TDR'ed several feeder and trunk runs. It kills ch20. I mean gone. What could this be? I don't think it is marine but I could be wrong. Can we involve FCC in these matters? The plant is in good shape running 875/625 22db C-COR 1G 900 series with Motorola SG4000 nodes. If there is anything you think you would do, we have done it. I don't think we can keep this out of the plant and need to have this signal shut down. Any ideas?
