Um, no. Obama phones are paid from the Universal Service Fund not income taxes. How so many in this industry ignorant of that is beyond me. Funding for PBS education programming is only a few hundred million. A Virgina class sub is along the lines of $2 Billion. Times 3 that's $6 Billion for the subs alone. Don't know what ships he's proposing but it sounds like the moon base would be cheaper. Just like Reagan quadrupled the deficit and Bush doubled it again, conservatives only talk about lowering the deficit.
This may be news to you outside the mainstream media, the deficit is down $200 Billion this year over last: http://www.cbo.gov/publication/43656 We're finally getting it in control again it's not time to go finding new ways to waste money.
