The bus monitor allows the driver to drive.

Kids that age will do and say all kinds of things. Most will not cause problems. So the monitor just ...monitors. She had been a driver for many (30 I think) years. Even though these kids are the result of poor parenting they were just making noise.

Here, in MD, in the absence of a monitor, a kid the same age fired a marine flare gun inside a school bus and burned it to the ground. Everyone got out because the driver stopped driving and monitored their asses off the bus.

See the difference?
