How can these ads claim great rates?

I just think it's so funny that these ads say 1099 needed! great rates! then say $1000-$1500 a week.
Shouldn't it say great rates $2000-$2500?  If you have great rates. These companies are full of it. Even if it said 1800-2000. How did doing cable become such a low paying job?
