Re: DirecT Tv 10 outlet install

I have been out of directv for awhile now.  Daisy Chains were the way to go...  However I found out that is the wrong way to go.  The way to run 10 outlets is home run them all to a central location.  Get a dish and run however many wires coming out of it to the central point.  Now all you need is a multiswitch.  If you need more then you need Power Passing Splitters BEFORE the multi-switch put in the same port as the other multi switch.

EXAMPLE. an old powered 4x8 has 13v 18v 13v 22 KHz and 18v 22 KHz tone.  Whatever you split make sure it goes to the same side on all multiswitches.  So if you have 1 line feeding 18V it has to be 18 V on all sides.  Not 18v with 22 Khz tone or 13v. Has to be 18v.

If you do this with each port it really doesnt matter how many recievers you have.  The other thing is any port not being used on the spliters BEFORE the multiswitch need a terminator if not being used.

That is the best way without having a dish farm.
