I've heard and seen this in the utility sectors: Power/TelCo/Fiber.....but ""NEVER"" in cable industry. MSO's are just to cheap to have a contractor list. Hell they had me doing Huricane Andrews [a national disaster] on Units instead of hours. It was kind of hard to get production when you had houses laying on the cable and poles down everywhere....ooops of course I forgot to say...it was ADELPHIA CABLE.
Power companies have retired engineers with drivers for disaster work. They pay motel/food/hours/overtime- your usually out 2-3 weeks working 12-14 hour days. Try getting this out of a cable company..................GOOD LUCK TO YOU. AKA: microman
