i work all subcontract and my buddy works inhouse.  I easily see the pros and cons.  the biggest with inhouse is how busy your area to go above and beyond the bs hourly rate to a decent piece rate.  Secondly would be all the meetings going on,can't stand wasting time to sit and listen even if it is paid.  The vehicle is another,love being able to come and go where i want and not have gps monitoring my movements.  The positive is you will get paid for your work.  Also you shouldn't have any out of pocket for gas,insurance,materials,and so on.  I think it just depends where you are in life and what version you want to deal with.
