It is unfortunate but true that so many companies have screwed the techs. That is what is making it so hard for me to find experienced techs because most have given up. This company I am with now is trying a whole new approach......hiring DTV techs as employees and offering an hourly rate! The response has been few and far between for experienced techs. I told them it was going to be an uphill battle. The great thing about this company is they have goverment work they do so they are not dependent on those checks from that are a month out. We have set some goals now it is just a matter of getting there. We will try to bring some decency back to this business, but we all know it will be rough.
