In certain Comcast markets they are selling cable modems that are permanently on for around 200. I can't say where you can buy these modems from because it violates the Cabl bar policies but just to let you know that I have seen them.
How do you think they did it? A friend of a friend, that knows the person that actually makes the modems work, told me that they piggy back off of Commercial accounts that will "never" quit serivce or less likely to quit service for a very long time. I don't know what piggy back means but maybe you guys could come up with an idea what they are talking about.
Also there are digi boxes out there that are pre-programmed with "all the channels" The requirement is that the box, before it was turned off, had to have all the channels. Anyone know why or how this works?
Please don't respond that this isn't possible, Ive seen these boxes and modems..... They exist and they work... They just require the RF connection...
Any ideas??
