I really wanted to do HD, but I found out the provider that sends us the local feeds, requires a 4410 MD (multi decrypter) that is not cheap, and will soon send only mpeg 4, so then we have even fewer people that can receive mpeg 4 on their digital tv's..
Even though the manufacturers are building in digital to the tv's etc, it seems the industry wants customers to have a box, it's ridiculous.
On another front, is there an inexpensive system to deploy and auth set tops? I wrote the software to do the docsis but have no field experience in set tops..
