Assuming you are talking about the RS-4002 in the lid of the node and a DT4230N transmitter..
You are looking for +8dB at the test point while injecting +38dB into the 20dB test point. The Aurora comes stuffed from the factory with a 12Pad in each return leg of node module, that will give you +38dB output with no internal padding out of the headend receiver.
Keep in mind if your system specs are different, let say inject +40into the node, then you have to change the 12pad to a 14. The import part is to maintain the +8 the test point of the node. With that said you also need to verify modem power levels at the node and make sure that's not over driving the transmitter as well.
