Ftth is pretty popular with the rural telco's right now, with the stimulus funds that are available and the Goverment mandates on internet access to rural areas with the same speed as Wall Street. Don't know anything about the cable co's and ftth. But, I would think that, their looking into it. They'ed be foolish not to.
Coax is here, it'll be here for awhile yet. Look at copper, it's still here. Wireless????? Eh,,,,you'll still have land lines.
