Re: Laborers Needed @10.75 an Hour??????

I once knew a contractor working in Florida that was paying $.50 LFT for hand digging and placing coax.  He had six mexican's hand digging and getting 3000ft day with no clean up. He also paid for 2 motel rooms for them.  This is what kills this industry, don't blame the man trying to make a living for his family....place the blame where it belongs...with such companies as this hiring them and the MSO who paid below scale rates to get a quality job done on the backs of the laborers.      I use to pay $15.00 str time, 1 1/2 over 40 and $85.00 per day worked for motel/food.  It was still hard to keep the help: No drivers license, failed drugs, background check, did not want to travel, did not want to work w/ends, burnt out, girl friend problems, too much on cell phones, always needed supervision, etc, etc,     So if a guy wants to work for cheap labor, then more power to him and his family.
