Your son, I assume you are talking about retiring,> how do you know he will have 1.5,, Enron employees thought so too, so did the people at Morgan Stanley and thousands on state founded retirement plans.. Off the point i guess, but worth not forgetting not much is guaranteed Im not sure where we disagree, i know most will have nothing after working years in this field, but how many really do??,. I think you are just pro forced savings or a pension plan or call it social security,, but instead of taking home 1-3K a week now these employees will be taking home 600-1200$, and will not have the tax write off's( for those who plan). And God knows I am surely not like 90% of the people on this board, WOW,, i have been in business for 18 years, taking every tax write off and putting my $$ to work. At one time I had 50 splicers working for me,, not the biggest , but i did pretty well. Plus I am a Bears fan,, I am not affraid of change, i just cant see a union helping,, 1/2 the criminals , I mean workers in cable would not be able to work if a union took over,,. jus my opinion.
