This is the easy way

Rick - you are right on target. A letter of intent to file a lien is almost as effective as actually filing the lien. And it doesn't cost anything but postage. I got Cox Cable in Redondo Beach to pay up years ago with a pile of "intent to file" letters. Their lawyer was a jerk but I just had a meeting, told him I wouldn't accept less than 100% owed and gave him 48 hours to get the check to me. I also said I would forward a complaint to the City telecommunications department.The only thing is, you better have another job lined up when you do this because you ain't getting a route next Monday morning!
