Could someone send me what they consider good cable installer rates? I have the chance to do some contracting but it's been a while since I have done the cable contracting side. I noticed the company was hiring guys with no experience at the same rate as I was offered, and from doing the math on what I see it's low. I have been doing mostly satellite the last few years, and most of my cable experience has been inhouse. Keep in mind I have over 18yrs experience in cable and satellite. Also the company pays 3 weeks out and keeps up to 10% of each check until a $1500.00 retainer is met. Also I have to provide my own truck, tools, gas, etc, insurance(which I already have), and they provide drop supplies. Thanks guys.
