R u kidding me? You mean to tell me that you have a noisy node and you think your gonna clean it up by looking at an analyzer in the head end? Just about all taps have CPB installed in them. That means that when you pull the faceplate, power and rf continue to feed everyone else. At most, you will have 8 customers shut off for less than 3 min with his technique. How do you troubleshoot noise? When you get to an amp you still have to pull pads to narrow down where the noise is coming from. I can tell you never have worked in the field. Do you really think the guy goes around drilling holes in every tap? This is good, sound advice on how to troubleshoot noise. I dont know about your nodes but sometimes there is more than one dirty drop.
