Re: need to learn how to be a technician

LAshdog-HILARIOUS!!! HAHA

Malo1971- I learned everything by going, what we all around here call, "inhouse". The correct answer to your question really depends on your current situation. Do you need insurance for your kids and wife? Do you have some money saved until you start to get a check coming in? Do you have money for tools? I could go on and on and on. I feel the training is way more in-depth and you get paid your full salary/hourly wage to learn with no pressure if you choose "inhouse" over conttracting. If you go contractor you may become stressed out knowing that you need to make money and you are sitting around for a month learning what the difference is between a splitter and a rg-6 fitting. I am sorry to tell you this but you might, not sure if things are going to get better, be at the tail end of a once great career. I don't want to get you down because this job is truly what you make of it. If you choose to go contractor please do a search on the internet about the company before you decided to start.

PM (private message) me if you need more advice.
