Almostatech you have opened a big bag of worms and dropped them in a cauldron and then started stirring. Installers have always made decent money whereas line dogs always get the short end. I have a couple friends that work inhouse and a couple with a line contractor and none make close to what I pull as a sub. These guys are gonna take this and run with it... Oh and old dawgs we use ladders just because the mso thinks we need the exercise carrying that thing through gates, back alleys and running from mean ass pitts, mostly because they don't want us gaffing...so it too dangerous like standing on the hooks on top of my ladder isn't...
