Re: Energy Sales

There is good and bad with everything, but if you work hard and honest, there is a lot of money in energy sales. The business of deregulated energy is very lucrative for many and in the right circumstances win-win for everybody. The gist of it is, the power companies aren't interested in playing the futures markets, they make their money from the delivery of the fuel(gas/electric). You can switch who you buy fuel from, but power company is still delivering it to you over their lines. There are many companies that have sprung up that will go out into the market and buy a bundle of energy at a pre-determined price to supply to your home. If they guess right and have locked in a lower price for the bundle of energy than what it's selling for on the open market, the customer benefits. The price of energy fluctuates so there is some risk to locking in a price that might seem low now, it could go lower. Anyways, getting back to your question, Direct Energy is probably the biggest player in the door to door sales aspect, but there are lots of companies out there employing d2d sales forces. Do a little background research on the companies hiring and use your best judgement. If you decide to check it out, you can PM me, depending on where you are, I might be able to help.Good luck,Alex
