Grounding is essential, it will redirect some things, it will reduce static on some things, it is required on every job i've ever been on, it is required for every job done in my cable system but mainly it's a cya thing for the company. Say what ever you want but if we're grounded properly the MSO or contractor is not responsible for any damage. Act of God, call your HOME OWERS, thanks
