HD is necessary but eats up a lot of space we have 2 HD channels per EIA. 111.o is alright for you DS. I agree will Cabledad and splicer about the pays and going digital. You'll have better luck taking your expanded basic to digital when you're ready, but don't do it until you have a tight tight tight system, especially if you're on an island by yourself. Digital has a whole new set of problems especially in older and not well maintained systems. Fix all leaks before you even think about going digital and make sure your swept and balanced. If you don't your dead in the digital world cause remember theres no such thing as a fuzzy pic. It either works or it doesn't. Good Luck
