Same situation went on, on a Mediacom job in Va. the pay was output footage and all skip poles were dressed as new, when the MSO ran out of bugnuts, framing hardware,bitch tape, SS Straps, the prime told everybody to forget the skip poles as per Mediacom, just do the passive/active poles and we could only bill footage from the last location worked
well It came to a point that there was nothing but 10" SS Straps in the warehouse, no bugnuts, port terminators, weavers, acorns, staples, so the guys made due with the extra truck stock from other jobs, well after Mediacom got some new money and ordered materials, they told the prime they had to re-visit every failing location for free and bring it to spec., well the PM on the job said screw you and was fired and the Sr.Tech for Mediacom took over the rest of the upgrade
Mediacom refused to pay the prime the last 8 invoices about $250K and it was the ripple down effect all the subs suffered.
They hired a Local Contractor and paid them $50.00 per location to do the gigs, bugnuts,straps,loop..$50.00, bitch tape, port terms..$50.00, 1 weaver power bond..$50.00, crooked loop..$50.00 and you wonder why you want anything to do with these bastards
I think 5G wireless or FIOS should show those SOB'S where they can stick their hardline at.
