Lived in Okinawa for 5 years; we call them typhoons over here, they get just as mean but what I dont understand is why we dont see half of the destruction the states do? Only answer I can think of is the houses here are made of concrete; hell everything is made of concrete, and we dont have basements that will flood. Just my 2 cents.
