ever since 911 they want to be able to see the news in the government buildings. I know that the schools in Fairfax VA have their own channel that they send to COX from their studio and then COX sends it out to all the schools. The county also has 4 training channels that go out to all the county buildings on the county's own catv system. They use COX's fiber as their backbone but the county has it's own headend where they insert their channels. I've had to tie into the fiber a few times because it's part of the emergency communications system for the government in case of another 911. They will not have to deal with all the civilian traffic jamming the phone, internet and cell communications. What can I say  it keeps me in work.
