Generally that sounds like a non-compete clause, or something similar, meaning if you work for company A, you can not go to work for another company doing the same type of work, or start your own company doing the same type of work, with in a certain period of time, normally 6 months to a year.
Never argue with idiots, they'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience
