Why wait Gary? You can get to know God right now. The more you know about God the closer you get. If it's in the Bible, it's there for a reason. It's there to bring us closer.

 P.S. I don't think anyone here has turned their back on God. They just don't know Him. God is love but by no means is He a pacifist. The Bible tells us there are some things He will not tolerate. Jesus first came as the lamb and when He returns He will come as the lion. Don't you think that's good for all to know?
