Didn't really want to weigh in on this one, because in the scheme of things, it matters not. Why would God need an army? I have no idea. I do know the Bible teaches there was a war waged in heaven against Satan and the fallen angels, and there have been other instances, such as the book of Joshua where the heavenly host aided man here on earth. Why he needed an army of angelic beings to fight Satan, I don't know, but I do know I'll find out when I leave this life and move on to be with the Lord. There are MANY questions I have when I get there, but not knowing the answers to them now is most definitely not a reason to turn my back on God. I don't know what makes this computer do what it does, but I am not going to stop using it because of that. I do know what matters, and that is God created me, He loves me, he provided a way for me to be redeemed and restored, and wants to have fellowship with me, but leaves that decision to me. No matter what takes place in this sin ridden, fallen world, I have the opportunity to spend eternity with Him and that is plenty of time to find out the answers to all the "whys" that I have. Each and every one of us has that opportunity by His grace and the gift of salvation provided by Jesus Christ. It all boils down to a decision of whether you want to spend eternity with Him or separated from Him. The choice is yours.
