Number 1..No splitters in the house, that's hack crap. Number 2..Data doesn't like too many splitters.  Number3. I don't know what MSO you are working for, but most don't want splitters the house.  Loose connectors, ingress egress..I have seen many modems knocked off because of splitters and connectors in the house...Just making work for someone else.
