Re: Cable in the south....

ya talk about remotes or install and drop materials and I can begin to understand why they want an inventory. I remember back years ago when install supplies were a "go ahead, take whatever ya need" situation where I easily knew dozens of installers with $50-$60 thousand dollars worth of supplies hoarded away in their garages or homes. And I mean 10 + cases of fittings (digicon, PPC, thomas and betts, etc.) 20 + cases of quad RG-6, wireless cards and adapters, remotes, cases of batteries for remotes, ethernet cards, wall plates, all the little pieces of hardware you take for granted, P-hooks, j-hooks, drop savers, ground blocks, house boxes, redi-clips, ground wire (pure copper @ 20 lbs a roll that's $80)cases of RB-2 clips ($18 a box), T59 staples, spools of messenger in 6 and 11, spools of siamese (6/cat 5e) it was just insane. Yeah cable companies charge high rates and pay low for installs but you can also thank those that got greedy when we were making good coin.
