I take the time to really clean my grill good, keeps any funky stuff from hitting your t-bones and burgers.
Also pour some vegatble oil in a bowl and use a rag to wipe the entire grate with it prior to igniting the fire. Right before putting the grub on wipe it again. It helps keep the goods from sticking and puts no flavor to the meat.
Make sure you trim back some of the fat from the edges, a meat cutter friend of mine told me the grocery store managers want them to leave as much fat on as they can to have more weight to charge you for.
